Walmart Camping….
We’re pausing here at a Walmart in Carmel, Indiana – (just North of Indianapolis) before we head south in earnest tomorrow morning.
Without getting in the car, we could have eaten at
Wendy’s
McDonalds
Burger King
Steak and Shake
White Castle
Applebees
Fridays
Don Pedros Kitchen
Chilies
Charleston’s (that’s the one we picked)
Old Country Buffet
Panara Bread

We could have bought birthday cards, engagement rings, dog food, office supplies, sporting goods, mattresses, bedroom furniture, little girl’s clothing, cell phones, shoes, bed linens, smelly girl stuff, a suit for Gary, and a dress for me all without going into the Walmart, Target or Kohls that are also within walking distance of our camp site!

So much for the great expanses of the Mid-West!
Feels like Home!

We did have a great weekend with Toby, Tammy, and little Eliana Grace (now 19 months old). Here are some shots of our time together~
Here’s what you get when you ask for a smile.

Here she is “reading” – and my, she does love her books!

Cute shot of Ellie and Mommy playing in the canoe~

The Ohio Conrads -

And all of us just before we left ~

I’m starting to collect “on the road” photos – just a couple of front seat pictures that show the difference in the areas that we are traveling. (If nothing else, it will show whether or not my plant grows!)

This is from one of our first legs – heading to New England-
…..

Here we are in Vermont, headed to Burlington…..

And here we are in Ohio…..

Our stop at Presque Isle State Park was fun! I had never been to Lake Erie (or generally that side of the state!), so I was impressed with the area in general. I’m beginning to understand why these lakes are called the Great Lakes!

And here are a bunch of confused seagulls…..
