Our First Anniversary

It’s hard for us to believe that we’ve been traveling about the country (well, the eastern half of it anyway) for a full year. What had seemed like a far off dream for so very long, is now old news. It just doesn’t seem possible!

We’ve had an amazing year. We’ve been as far north as Copper Harbor, Michigan (which is only a couple of degrees farther north that our Maine stop or our visit to beautiful Georgian Bay in Ontario), as far south as Fort Myers, FL, and as far west as Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We’ve had our toes (or more) in the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, all of the Great Lakes, and Georgian Bay. We’ve driven through mountains and valleys, and descended into caves and mines. All along we have continued to marvel at the amazing country we live in, and the Awesome God that has created such a place and allowed us the privilege to be traveling through it.

But more than the “places to see and things to do”, we’ve been able to connect with friends and family – some of whom we hadn’t seen in many, many years. We’ve made new friends and seen first hand how beautiful and diverse the Family of God is. Our work with the SOWER Ministry has blessed us in too many ways to recount. We have been able to use our skills and abilities while still having time to “see” the country. The friends we’ve made and the different communities we have been a part of have all been part of the treasures of this trip.

And so we continue on. We’ve found that living in our RV has added a new dimension to our relationship to each other, our relationship to the world around us, and our relationship to our Awesome God. Until He tells us otherwise, we’re content to be serving Him from our little house on wheels. Thanks for stopping by our website – it’s good to have you along! Please feel free to add a comment or send along a hello! We’d love to hear from you!

We have so much to see, and so much yet to learn!
And yes, we are still working on getting to the West Coast!

  1. This is amazing!! How blessed we feel reading about what God is doing for his kingdom through this journey of yours in that RV!! We love you Conrads!
    love the Sensing’s

  2. Hello Conrad’s!!!

I remember sitting next to you at the 1st Baptist Church
auction in the new gymnasium 2 1/2 yrs ago engrossed in a heavy bidding war for the very quilt that now hangs in the stair well in the new addition. I didn’t know that your hands had helped to sew and quilt it and that you
were going to donate it to the church. Sorry Steph, the money did go to a good cause though!
That same day you told me about your proposed adventure and I told you that my future of husband & I were talking about doing the same thing at some point after we got married.
Well, we’ve been married 2 years now. Sam’s son has moved out of our house and lives in Colorado; his father who was living with us passed away in february. Our home is up for sale and we’re actively looking for an RV, gas or diesel powered.
I just found our about your website, so I’m reading alittle here and there starting with the beginning. I love
the sign telling you 3 different route #s. Sam & I have had some heated discussions over which way to go since we’ve gotten married (just getting to know each other more intimately!)
We are excited about getting started, but all in God’s time. Depending on when we’re able to leave, that will be the direction we will go in, according to the weather.
I’m looking forward to reading some more of your trip.
We are looking forward to combining travel as a tourist with doing some work for the Lord, hence, we will be looking up Sowers
God’s blessing for safe travel. Nancy Malone DiValentino and Sam DiValentino
