The cold front came as promised – and it’s been in the low sixties all weekend. The remnants of Tammy brought some rain, and pretty much it was a damp and dreary weekend. However, I got lots of sewing done, we enjoyed checking out some local yard sales and flea markets, worshiped with our friends and finished the weekend with a hot-dog roast and sing along around a campfire. Yep, a pretty good weekend even though I never got out of the sweatshirt!

Phew, it’s been brutally hot here! The pool is still open, so we’ve enjoyed a couple of after hour swims. It really hit the spot! The guys have been busy with framing out a new office building for the camp and we ladies have doing piles and piles of laundry, and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. It’s that “end of the season” deep cleaning time, so once again we are very thankful for rubber gloves! =) Many hands make light the work so the days have gone fast and we’ve been having a good time. We have certainly enjoyed the folks on this project – it’s such a blessing to find instant community at each of these Sower Projects.

We’ve stayed pretty close to home this week so we haven’t had a chance to explore the area. I’m sure we’ll get out some this weekend so I’ll have more to report later. We’re in “Middle Tennessee” – lots of hills and curves. The camp is located on Center Hill Lake (though I haven’t actually seen that lakefront!) – this is a picture of the view from the dining hall.

Like I said – Very Pretty!

Cold front headed this way – and we can’t wait!
