The Ducks are in a Row

Well, Josiah has found a place to live (thank-you, Lyle family), the piano has found a new home (thank-you, Heather and friend Brenda. And thank-you piano movers that are coming tomorrow AM), and settlement is scheduled for 2PM tomorrow afternoon. In a way it’s a little sad to say a final good-bye to the home where we have lived for the last (almost) 25 years (last 19 months notwithstanding). We have wonderful memories of the growing-up years of our kids and have been very blessed to be able to share our home with friends and family for those years. And yet, it is with joy that we close that wonderful chapter and start the new chapter. This new chapter might not take 25 years to write, but you never know!

Do you ever listen to Michael Card? Here are some of the words from his song, “Things We Leave Behind”

Every heart needs to be set free
From possessions that hold it so tight
‘cause freedom’s not found in the things that we own
It’s the power to do what is right.
With Jesus our only possession
Then giving becomes our delight
And we can imagine the freedom we find
From the things we leave behind.
……And it’s hard to imagine the freedom we find from the things we leave behind.
