Loved the pictures of the wisteria and baby animals. We're going to have a freezing Easter, so I'll enjoy it vicariously through your photos. Jenny K

[...] PEAS, PEAS, PEAS Remember those Snow Peas that were growing in the garden? Well, it’s been harvest time this week. The boys have been out picking and processing all week. And trust me, some of these kids had never even seen a snow pea, let alone know what to do with them! Normally afternoons are spent in PSNC (Personal Study for New Christians). Due to the “Pea Crisis”, we now have the PeaSNC….. (it’s amazing how much discussion can be generated while pickin’ through the peas…..:-) After the sorting and cleaning came the washing…. (I’ll tell you, get a camera out, and the boys become quite the hams!)…Then to the blanching and freezing (sorry, no pictures - I was too busy blanching!). And much to the boy’s delight, next week it’s back to the fields! Ah, Spring! [...]

[...] Spring in Vermont :-D Published March 24th, 2007 Life with Lynne It is well known that Spring is slow in coming to Vermont. But lest you think that we are SO far behind everyone else, especially those posting wonderful pictures on blogs (i.e. here), we thought we’d post some pictures of our own. We have beautiful flowers blooming… um, indoors on the kitchen counter. Here is Roger happily harvesting our first crop of snow peas. They are a little frozen at the moment but will be a wonderful addition to our leftover chicken for dinner tonight. We don’t quite have cute little fuzzy chicks yet but the hens have done their duty here. Maybe next year we’ll have new little piggies to post as well. [...]
