I guess that’s as good a place to start as any, right? In fact, I hear it’s a very good place to start!
The first stop on our Adventure (after a night of dry camping in a Walmart parking lot – we wanted her to experience the real deal, after all) was the National Aquarium in Baltimore. We got an early start (leaving Lizzie back at said Walmart)
because we had signed up for a “Dolphin Immersion” session before the aquarium actually opened.
No, we did not actually get in with the dolphins, but we did get to enjoy watching (and learning from) the trainers before the crowds arrived. From there we just took our time wandering around the aquarium, enjoying both the underwater parts and the dry land exhibits.
It was all pretty amazing, but I think our favorite part was their Jellyfish Exhibit. I certainly wouldn’t want to run into any of these guys while swimming, but here in the aquarium they were downright beautiful!
Oh, My! Dotted Swiss!
By early afternoon we were headed back to the rig for the next installment of the adventure – Washington, DC!
I think we’ll call that “The Middle” – and I’ll get started on that chapter tomorrow!
Psst – A few more Baltimore/Aquarium pictures (including all the ones in the collages) are HERE.
