UIM – all wrapped up! | RV There Yet?

We’re on the road again, heading to our March SOWER project, but before I can get started on the March stuff, I need to wrap up the February stuff!
First of all – these people –

We were small in number, but mighty in work accomplished! I know I’ve done a little summary before of what everyone was working on, so here is more or less a bit of before & after –
The office ‘kitchen’ –

Gary took down a cabinet that was hanging on the right wall in that kitchen, and refurbished it into a cabinet/counter. I think the plan is for it to be a coffee center.

Not only was he able to reuse the cabinet, but they found the countertop at a Habitat Re-Store for $15.00. Sweet!
Back at the ‘can you add some windows to the hallway’ project –

the end results were very well received!

While it doesn’t make the narrow hallway any wider, it did seem to give it a bit more of an open feeling.
Over in the house remodeling (not to be confused with the office/house) the work also went very well.
Installing ceramic tile in the kitchen was a huge improvement-

Major kudos to the two teams before us who emptied out the house, replaced all the other floors with laminate, repaired walls and painted and painted and painted. We really had the best of the jobs – putting it all back together again! Plus they sorted through years of accumulated ‘stuff’ and had a huge yard sale. We did a bit more sorting as we were looking for items to outfit the house as a guest house. I don’t think it qualifies for an HGTV episode, and the walls are still pretty bare, but all in all, we (and the hosts!) were pleased!

And just when the worked seemed to be wrapping up – the guys got to add a new skill to their resumes!

So work-wise, it was a great month! But it was a great month fun-wise too! We took in a movie (Risen – Excellent!), enjoyed many lemony treats, did some group shopping and even took in a local candy factory!

Let’s face it – February was just a yummy month all around!
