On to the TANKS

I think we are doing a study in transportation types. In New England we started with sea vessels – the US Constitution, historic boats at Mystic Seaport, the US Brig Niagara and even canal boats along the Erie Canal. From there we moved to flight with the Aviation Museum at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. We can now add Armored Vehicles to our list. The Patton Museum is located just outside of Ft. Knox – you know, where all our gold is. We could only see the outside of the building that houses the gold, but we did enjoy the museum. Lots and lots of information (really, too much for me!) about the role of the armored vehicles from their inception (WWI) to their present use in Iraq.
And for the record, George S. Patton did not really look like George C. Scott. Hmm.
