Halfway through the project!

I certainly don’t know how it got to be MAY 10th already!!! We’ve been having a great time here in New Freedom, PA. As I suspected, we ladies are tackling the dining hall at the Campground – getting the kitchen all cleaned and the dining hall ready for the summer. It’s a pretty big job – and I think we are cleaning up some pretty old dirt. We thank God every day for rubber gloves! The guys have done some pool maintenance, picnic table building and general building and mechanical maintenance. We’ve been having a great time of fellowship – a couple of game nights, a campfire, learning how to play Cornhole (yes, that’s a real game), and generally laughing a whole lot!!! It’s amazing how the most mundane jobs become do-able and (almost) enjoyable when you’re doing them with friends!
We went “home” last weekend and had a great time! Got some gardening done at the house (still on the market – keep praying!), enjoyed time with my quilting buddies at the Plumstead Christian School Spring Fair and Auction, and was blessed by worshiping at our home church in Doylestown. All three kids called on Mother’s Day which was an added bonus to an already delightful weekend.
Tomorrow night we head to a BYOB(anana) night at the local Ice Cream Parlor (Bonky’s?). Geez, we’re havin’ fun!
