Before I go any further….

I must let you know that we did more than WORK when we were in Waco last week. We had the opportunity to worship at a wonderful outdoor service that combined neighboring churches, took in a movie at the Tuesday Night $1 theater, enjoyed a Survivor Party at Lara’s house (not that we actually watch the show, but everyone else seemed to know what was going on!) and even managed a little dinner party at “our place” over at the campground!

They really could use some rain, eh?

But that was last week – and just to bring you up to date……
We’re all settled in at our November project at Charis Hills Camp in the teeny tiny town of Sunset, Texas.

Although they rent out their facilities to a variety of groups (to pay their bills!), their mission to provide a Christ centered camping experience during the summer for children with learning differences – like ADD, ADHD, Asperger’s, and high functioning Autism. We’ve just started our time here, but so far we’ve been very impressed with the leadership and focus of the camp. I’ll be sharing more about the camp in future posts, but I wanted to let you know where we’ve landed for the month.

It was a soft landing – just at the end of a 3 mile dirt road. 🙂

Psst….Happy Birthday, Connie!

Missing you. Hope you’re having time to sew.
