Last evening the Operations Department here at ALERT put on a Valentine’s dinner for the married couples on staff and as volunteers, we got to join in the festivities. It was Red Carpet all the way!


The tables were elegant,

and the food matched!

We were serenaded throughout the evening with beautiful piano music

and love songs.

Between courses, they honored each couple with a short dialog and a certificate celebrating the years they had been married. When they started with the newlyweds (147 days!) I knew that we would be long after dessert! Sure enough – we were the very last couple!

It was such a delightful evening – and a wonderful way to celebrate both Valentine’s Day – and being an Old Married Couple!
