A Trip to town

Our little town of Lindale has just about anything you would need in the way of stores – a couple of grocery stores, several good restaurants, a Walmart, and (most importantly) Lowes.  But even with all of those good options, we still usually take a weekly trip into the Big City – Tyler! Tyler has a multitude of shopping options – and today we took advantage of many of them.

  1. Haircut! First stop and well overdue!
  2. Tyler recycling where we got rid of bins and bins of glass and plastic our community has been collecting.
  3. Habitat for Humanity Restore – first time here and I walked out with an ironing board ($5)!
  4. UPS store to facilitate a return
  5. Joann Fabric Store – Batting for a quilt I’m working on.
  6. Picked up sandwiches at Jimmy Johns (ate half and finished them up for dinner. Score!)
  7. Stopped at Torchy’s Tacos for some take-out Queso (we had a coupon to get it free! Couldn’t pass that up!) Lunch tomorrow?
  8. Sam’s Club – where we spent too much but also got gas for $2.36/gal
  9. Aldi – short stop, but we never pass up an Aldi. (Eggs were available @5.47/doz. Thankfully we did not need any).
  10. Walmart – needed a cover for the ironing board and a couple of other odds and end.
  11. Back home by 2, just in time to put the cold stuff away and settle in for a nap!

The deep freeze  is on its way (not expected to get out of the 20’s tomorrow!) – so it’s good we got all of our errands done today. Pretty sure tomorrow will be a good day to stay home! Those Tyler trips can get pretty expensive, but we’re glad we were able to check so many things off our list (and maybe a couple things that weren’t!)

Thanks for stopping by!
Steph
